Shoulder to Shoulder

Our mission is to provide Christ-centered support to Military Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. Our vision is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to Lutheran Service Members directly and through support of WELS and ELS synodical efforts, and to unchurched Military Service Members. We do this through retreats for combat veterans and their spouses, public ministry scholarships, and community education publications. Our ministry is supported by generous donors to our Ammo Can Campaigns.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:3-4

Workshop for
Military Veterans & First Responders
Long shifts, poor sleep, and a dangerous work environment are not the only shared experiences of Veterans and First Responders. Both are more likely to experience trauma related to their job compared to the public. These experiences can impact us, our families, and faith.
