Information: Stedman enlisted in the Marine Corp in the Fall of 1966. He served in Vietnam in the 2nd Marine Air Wing, Squadron HML-167-Huey Gun Ships flying as a door gunner. Subsequently, he was assigned to the Presidential Helicopter Squadron, HMX-1 stationed in Quantico, VA.
On May 20th, 1972 he married the former LaVonne June Redlin at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Mazeppa Township, Summit South Dakota. Together, John and LaVonne raised 3 daughters, and now have have 3 grandchildren.
John and LaVonne own and operate Commission Express National, a financial services company with 48 franchises in 29 states.
