Information: Rev. Paul Ziemer is a charter member of LMSG. He serves as the WELS National Civilian Chaplain.

He began his ministry in 1970 at Norfolk, VA and quickly was asked by WELS Military Services to serve all military installations in southern Virginia and in the entire state of North Carolina. With few interruptions, he has continued to serve military personnel at numerous locations.

In 2006 he accepted the call to serve as the first WELS National Civilian Chaplain. He has three areas of responsibilities: a) To oversee ministry to deployed troops; b) To support, encourage, and enable the 125 WELS Military Contact Pastors scattered across America; and, c) To serve as the WELS liaison to the U.S. Armed Forces. He has made four trips to serve troops in the war zones of the Middle East.

He serves as an adjunct professor of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, through which he teaches two online courses related to chaplaincy ministry.
